Sin duda la descristianización de Europa y el peso social y político cada vez mayor del islam en el “viejo continente” son hechos claros, de los que estas dos situaciones son un reflejo más.
BRUSELAS: RETIRAN ÁRBOL DE NAVIDAD
La ciudad Bruselas ha decidido retirar un árbol tradicional de Navidad del centro de la población para evitar ofender a los musulmanes, que son ya un 25% del total de la población de la capital belga. Se da la circunstancia de que dos concejales musulmanes de la ciudad pidieron la semana pasada convertir Bélgica en un estado islámico en el que se imponga la sharia.
La edil Bianca Debaets aseguró estar convencida de que la relación (aunque indirecta) con la religión cristiana fue el factor decisivo para retirar el árbol: «para mucha gente que no es cristiana, tener el árbol ahí es una ofensa».
Al mismo tiempo preguntó Debaets: «¿Debe una ciudad histórica como Bruselas ser sensible a todas las tradiciones? ¿no debería una ciudad multi-religiosa como Bruselas dejar lugar para todas las filosofías?»
DINAMARCA: ANULAN DECORACIÓN NAVIDEÑA EN BARRIO MUSULMÁN
La junta local del barrio Egedalsvænge en Kokkedal, Dinamarca, ha rechazado gastar mil euros que serían empleados en pagar el coste del árbol de navidad y sus luces, mientras este mismo año hace pocas semanas empleó más de diez mil euros en la fiesta musulmana de Eid al Adha (Fiesta del Cordero).
Este dinero sale del conjunto de los contribuyentes daneses que en su mayoría son cristianos (aunque sean nominales). Pero la decisión de cómo gastarlo se toma en cada barrio, y como se ha dicho en Egedalsvænge son de mayoría musulmana.
