Como cada año, las calles de Madrid se engalanan para acoger la festividad del Corpus Christi. El próximo domingo, 2 de junio, a las 19:00 horas, tendrá lugar la Misa en la Plaza de la Almudena seguida de la Procesión solemne, presididas por el Cardenal Arzobispo de Madrid, Antonio Mª Rouco Varela.
Este año, al estar enmarcado en la Misión Madrid, se pretende que tenga un realce especial. Como preparación a la festividad del Corpus Christi, el Cardenal presidirá el próximo sábado, 1 de junio, a las 21:00 horas, una solemne Vigilia Eucarística en la Catedral.
El recorrido de la Procesión previsto es el tradicional: salida desde la Plaza de la Almudena, pasando por las calles Bailén, Mayor y Sol, donde el Cardenal impartirá la Bendición con el Santísimo, hasta finalizar en la Real Iglesia Parroquial de San Ginés, donde se procederá a la reserva del Santísimo.
La Eucaristía y la procesión estarán formadas por una gran participación de movimientos, instituciones y una enorme variedad de personas de toda condición. Todos con un mismo objetivo hacer presente el milagro maravilloso: “Cristo está aquí”.
