Hoy , 20 de junio, se celebra el Día Mundial del Refugiado, que la comunidad internacional dedica a quienes están obligados a dejar su propia tierra para escapar de los conflictos y de las persecuciones. El número de estos hermanos refugiados está creciendo y, en estos últimos días, otros miles de personas se han visto obligadas a abandonar sus hogares para salvarse. Millones de familias refugiadas de muchos países y de diferentes religiones viven en sus historias dramas y heridas que difícilmente podrán sanarse. Seamos cercanos a ellos, compartiendo sus temores y su incertidumbre sobre el futuro y aliviando concretamente su sufrimiento. Que el Señor apoye a las personas y a las instituciones que trabajan con generosidad para asegurar a los refugiados hospitalidad y dignidad, y darles motivos de esperanza. Pensemos que Jesús fue un refugiado, tuvo que huir para salvar la vida, con San José y la Virgen. Tuvo que ir a Egipto, Él fue un refugiado. Recemos a la Virgen, que conoce los dolores de los refugiados. Que sea cercana a estos hermanos y hermanas nuestros. Recemos juntos a la Virgen por los hermanos y hermanas refugiados. María, madre de los refugiados, reza por nosotros. (MZ-RV)
