El presidente de la Conferencia Episcopal Española (CEE), el cardenal Ricardo Blázquez, aseguró hoy en el Vaticano que el Papa Francisco «está muy bien informado» y sabe lo qué ocurre en España.
Blázquez participó hoy en una reunión de unos 40 minutos en el Vaticano con el pontífice con motivo de la renovación en los cargos de la CEE el pasado marzo.
El cardenal estuvo acompañado por el vicepresidente, el cardenal Antonio Cañizares, y el secretario general y portavoz, José María Gil Tamayo, que también mantuvieron una reunión de cerca una hora con el secretario de Estado vaticano, Pietro Parolin.
Tras las reuniones, Blázquez se encontró con la prensa y definió la reunión del papa como «muy cordial» y aseguró que «él esta muy bien informado y sabe las situaciones (en España) tanto en el campo de la sociedad o de la Iglesia».
Explicó que salieron a relucir varios temas nacionales e internacionales, así como la situación en algunos países de Latinoamérica sobre los que el Papa «no quiso dar ningún tipo de valoración en un sentido u otro», pero Blázquez prefirió no desvelar el contenido de estas conversaciones.
Aunque sí dijo que habían hablado de cómo los estudiantes de Venezuela se encuentran ahora acogidos en el Colegio español en Roma y que esto ya lo sabía el Papa.
Por su parte, Cañizares también explicó que Francisco «sigue muy de cerca los problemas de España y quiere de verdad a España».
También dijo que el papa «está muy atento a todo lo que estamos impulsando y que es una obra de una nueva evangelización y nos ha insistido en otro aspecto, que a veces no se resalta: la educación eucarística como base de esa transformación que necesitamos»
