Unos fariseos les preguntaron: «¿Por qué hacéis en sábado lo que no está permitido?»
Jesús les replicó: «¿No habéis leído lo que hizo David, cuando él y sus hombres sintieron hambre? Entró en la casa de Dios, tomó los panes presentados, que sólo pueden comer los sacerdotes, comió él y les dio a sus compañeros.»
Y añadió: «El Hijo del hombre es señor del sábado» (San Lucas 6, 1-5).
